Cruising

Cruising is one of my favorite ways to travel! I love the excitement of waking up in the morning as the ship is pulling into a new port. Plus, you only have to unpack once – bonus!

I’ve taken 27 cruises over the years (and counting). Mostly ocean cruises, but one Rhine River cruise (Mom got to come along on that one).

My cruising bug started with a gift of a honeymoon cruise from my parents. Cruising is an easy vacation choice when I don’t want to spend a ton of time planning itineraries.

Cruising is a great option for so many types of travel — couples, solo travel (just watch out for the solo supplement), and family/multigenerational travel. One of our most memorable cruises was one we took with extended family including my granny!

Since I live in Phoenix, hopping on a Mexican Riviera cruise out of Los Angeles is an easy vacation — and definitely budget friendly! But I must say that the cruises I love most are Mediterranean cruises, as I can’t get enough of Europe.
