Best Celebrity Cruises Mocktails: Zero-Proof Drinks to Love

Planning to take a cruise with Celebrity? Then you’ll want to know about all the best Celebrity cruises mocktails!

Cruise lines are whipping up creative and tasty non-alcoholic beverages, or ‘mocktails’, to tempt your taste buds.

Mocktails are perfect for me, since I’m not a big drinker!

These go beyond non-alcoholic versions of popular cocktails (although those are available, too). Refreshing mocktails are a zero-proof way to enjoy a little something special on your vacation.

They’re great for everyone in your traveling party, from kids to foodies!

Read about all the mouth-watering mocktails on the Celebrity Cruises drinks menu during my recent cruise, as well as other non-alcoholic beverages you can find onboard a Celebrity cruise ship.

You’ll want to try them all!

Best Celebrity Cruises Mocktails and Nonalcoholic Drinks

If you’re going on a Celebrity cruise, there’s a good chance that you have a basic alcoholic drinks package included in your fare.  The new Celebrity Cruises always included (or ‘all included’) fares include a basic beverage package, as well as wi-fi and tips.

Personally, I don’t drink much, but I will partake on vacation. But one alcoholic drink will usually do it for me for the day.  (Yes, I’m a ‘lightweight’ when it comes to drinking—I get that from my mother, famous for needing only half a margarita.)

If my cruise fare includes a drink package, this means I feel like I’m not getting my money’s worth.  But the new realm of mocktails gives me more options to sample.  Plus, it feels a little more elegant to have a mocktail with dinner, rather than a soda.

So, when I embarked on my Celebrity Solstice cruise to Ketchikan, Alaska and Victoria BC, I made it a personal quest to leverage my included drinks package to check out all their mocktails.

Here’s a rundown of all the tasty Celebrity Cruises mocktails, with pictures and descriptions!

1.  Peach Sangria

Peach Sangria mocktail with the sun shining on the ocean
The Peach Sangria mocktail is refreshing with fruity peach and pineapple flavors. It’s one of the best mocktails from the Celebrity non alcoholic drink package!

This tasty tropical cocktail is made with Monin peach, pineapple juice, and soda water.  The Monin peach is a thick syrup, so no matter how much you stir it, the peach will quickly settle back to the bottom of your glass.

The first time I enjoyed the Peach Sangria, the bartender used more pineapple juice and soda water, and less peach.  This pineapple-forward version was very refreshing and great for a sunny afternoon at the pool.

The second time I ordered this mocktail, the bartender went a little heavier on the Monin peach and so it was a little too sweet with its thick peach texture.

I’d still definitely order the Peach Sangria again, but I would request them to make it easy on the peach.   I’d say this was my second-favorite of all the Celebrity Cruises mocktails.

2.  Frozen Sunrise

Celebrity Cruises mocktails include the Frozen Sunrise. Its shades of pink and orange, against a blue sky and ocean
The Frozen Sunrise is pretty as a picture and is one of the best zero proof frozen cocktails!

Looking for a frozen drink with a little pick-me-up?  Give the Frozen Sunrise a try.

This frozen mocktail is made with Red Bull (Red Edition), orange juice, agave nectar, and grenadine.  It’s garnished with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.

This mocktail has it all – good looks and great flavor.   The Red Bull and grenadine give the first layer of the mocktail its rosy hue, with the frozen orange juice making up the slushy-style top layer.

The Frozen Sunrise is a good choice for a sunny afternoon if you need a little caffeine boost.  It’s cool, refreshing, and not overly sweet.

Note that the Frozen Sunrise was only on the menu in the Sky Lounge, which is the observation lounge on the Celebrity Solstice.   The Sky Lounge on the Solstice spans the full 180 degrees of the front of the ship, so you get great panoramic views on all sides.

The observation lounge is always where I spend the most time on a cruise ship.  It’s a great place to curl up with my Kindle, enjoy a drink, and watch the world go by!

3.  Sparkling Mint Lemonade

Sparkling Mint Lemonade with mint and lime

If you prefer your beverages crisp and light, then you should definitely try the Sparkling Mint Lemonade.  This simple but refined mocktail is made with fresh lemon juice, mint, agave nectar, and soda water.

The bartender muddled mint and lime wedges as he prepared my drink.  Muddling the mint leaves (crushing them) releases the essential oils to add more flavor to your drink.

The Sparkling Mint Lemonade was tart and refreshing and makes an excellent choice to accompany a meal.  Since it doesn’t have strong competing flavors, you’ll be able to best enjoy the flavors of your meal.

4. Cranberry Mule

Cranberry Mule mocktail is a ruby pink, with background of sparkling blue pool

If you’re a fan of ginger, the Cranberry Mule is going to be a favorite of yours.  This nonalcoholic mule is made with cranberry juice, ginger beer, agave nectar, mint, and soda water.

The ginger flavor definitely comes through in this zippy mocktail.  Ginger beer has a strong ginger flavor and more of a bite than ginger ale.

The Cranberry Mule’s flavors are rounded out by a hint of sweetness from the agave nectar and a tart note from the cranberry juice.

Unfortunately, on Celebrity Cruises they don’t have those cute traditional copper mugs for serving mule cocktails.  But the clear glass they do serve it in lets you see the beautiful rosy shade of this crisp and flavorful mocktail.

5. Strawberry Banana Soda

The Celebrity Strawberry Banana Soda, with Alaskan mountains and fjords as background
The Strawberry Banana Soda is crystal clear, with the vibrantly colored syrup at the bottom of the glass

The Strawberry Banana Soda, as you might expect, is made with Monin strawberry and banana, then topped with soda water.

I’m not generally a big fan of bananas, so I was a little leery of the Strawberry Banana Soda.  But for the sake of completing my mocktail research, I did give this drink a try.

This mocktail is another pretty example of liquids separating out into layers based on their density.

This phenomenon and the clarity of the soda water actually allowed to me get this really cool shot of the Alaskan mountains and fjords as a background and also duplicated inside the mocktail glass.

You’ll have to mix vigorously with a straw or stirrer to get the strawberry and banana syrups to mix with the soda water.  Otherwise, the top portion of the beverage will be unflavored soda water and the bottom will be syrupy sweet.

I was glad to find out that this mocktail didn’t taste too strongly of banana, just a pleasant mellow fruity flavor.

6. Raspberry Fizz

The Raspberry Fizz mocktail is perfect to enjoy with a meal
The light and refreshing Raspberry Fizz is one of the best mocktails to enjoy with your meal!

The Raspberry Fizz is made with raspberries (in the form of a syrup or juice, not whole berries), lime juice, agave nectar, and soda water.

This mocktail is a little tart from the lime juice, with a hint of sweetness from the raspberries and the agave nectar.  Overall, the Raspberry Fizz is a nice light palate-refreshing drink

The Raspberry Fizz was also the only zero-proof beverage on the Main Dining Room menu on my cruise, so this became my go-to drink to have with dinner.   It is definitely one of my favorite Celebrity Cruises mocktails.

7. Watermelon Tropic

Vibrant pink and yellow hues of the Watermelon Tropic mocktail
Vibrant Watermelon Tropic mocktail, part of the zero proof package Celebrity offers.

I like how bartenders use liquids of different densities to make such pretty-looking cocktails and mocktails.  There is a whole realm of cocktails that leverage this behavior of liquids to picture-perfect effect.

The Watermelon Tropic is made with Monin watermelon, pineapple juice, and fresh lime juice.  It starts out layered, with the bright pink Monin watermelon sparkling at the bottom of the glass.

This mocktail will blend as you stir it, rather than settling back out.

Overall, this was a very sweet mocktail since it was all syrup and juices without any soda water to lighten it up.   (And coming from me, that’s saying something as I have a ferocious sweet tooth!)

8. Frozen Strawberry Swirl

On the Celebrity Solstice, the Frozen Strawberry Swirl mocktail is only available in the Sky Lounge

Another Celebrity Cruises specialty caffeinated frozen mocktail is the Frozen Strawberry Swirl.  Like the Frozen Sunrise, this one is also only on the menu in the Sky Lounge.  (Of course, you can order it in the observation lounge and then take it to your favorite shipboard location.)

The Frozen Strawberry Swirl is a tasty blend of Red Bull, margarita mix, agave nectar, and strawberry puree.  And, of course, a maraschino cherry on top for a sweet garnish.

The primary flavor profile of this frozen mocktail is strawberry.  The margarita mix adds an interesting twist by giving the drink a hint of tartness or sourness that will keep you coming back for more.

9. Virgin versions of popular cocktails

Swirled frozen cocktail in vibrant shades or orange and purple
The French Caribbean cocktail was my one alcoholic indulgence. A non-alcoholic version would also taste great!

Fancy the flavors of traditional frozen cocktails, such as the strawberry daquiri or the pina colada?  No worries!  You can ask your bartender to make you a nonalcoholic version of your perennial cruise favorites.

My one alcoholic indulgence on this cruise was the French Caribbean frozen cocktail (like I said, I’m a lightweight when it comes to drinking).  I couldn’t resist ordering one when I saw a fellow passenger walking by with this gorgeous concoction!

The Celebrity version of the French Caribbean is made with Malibu Coconut Rum and Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur, with the main ingredient being passionfruit puree.  This drink was right up my alley… fabulous, fruity, and not too strong-tasting.

But it would be equally delicious made with some nonalcoholic raspberry and coconut syrups.  I’m definitely going to give that a try!

10. Ask your bartender to get creative

Spicy Mango mocktail is bright orange from the mango, accented by green mint leaves and lime
The Spicy Mango mocktail is accented by mint leaves and lime. Try something new with your Celebrity Cruise drinks package!

One day, I asked one of the members of cruise activities staff about her favorite mocktail on the ship.  She said that they made a special mocktail for her at one of the bars.  I didn’t even know this was an option!

Inspired, I headed over to the bar and asked the bartender to make me a custom mocktail.  He looked all around his station, asked me a few questions about what flavor profiles I like and don’t like, then got to work.

What he came up with was actually quite tasty.  He called it a ‘Spicy Mango’, and here’s how it came together:

It started with mango puree.  He then added mint leaves and lime wedges and muddled those ingredients.

Next came the surprise ingredient:  a couple drops of Tabasco sauce!  Along with more traditional cocktail ingredients such as sour mix and soda water.

He then did the requisite bartender drink shaking routine and poured the concoction into a tall glass.  He garnished this with a lime wedge and some mint sprigs that he had hand-selected for their good looks.

Even though I’m quite picky with flavors, I must say I really enjoyed this custom mocktail, and I even asked him to make me another one the next day. Non-alcoholic or not, I think this was one of the best drinks on Celebrity cruises!

Don’t be shy, go ahead and ask your bartender to whip you up something special!  (But maybe don’t pick a time when the bar is super busy.)

Other nonalcoholic drinks available onboard Celebrity Cruises

There are plenty of other non alcoholic drinks available for you to enjoy on your Celebrity cruise.  Some, like juice and coffee from the buffet, are free to everyone.

Others, like specialty coffees from Café al Bacio, are included in the Celebrity Cruises Classic drinks package (or available a la carte, if you don’t have a drinks package).

The third tier of nonalcoholic beverages includes specialty waters and smoothies from the Spa Café.  These beverage choices are included in the Premium package, or are available with a la carte pricing.

Specialty Coffees and Teas at Café al Bacio

Café al Bacio is one of most popular spots onboard a Celebrity cruise ship.  There are always lots of people needing their daily dose of caffeine!

Here you’ll find a wide menu of coffees (featuring Lavazza espresso), an impressive selection of fine teas and herbal teas, and even luscious hot chocolate.   You can further customize your hot beverage with flavorings such as caramel or hazelnut.

Coffees up to $9 are included in the Celebrity Classic Drinks package.  This pretty much covers all the non-alcoholic coffee offerings.

Café al Bacio is also a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.  They have a lovely pastry and dessert case – and everything here is free!  Enjoy a decadent slice of cake, a pretty-as-a-picture fruit tartlet, or a tasty coconut macaroon.

Sodas

Ice-cold cans of soda enjoyed on a balcony
Keep your mini-fridge stocked with cold cans of soda to enjoy on your balcony. They’re included with your Celebrity Cruises classic beverage package

Note that even if you have the basic included drinks package on Celebrity, this does not cover the contents of your minibar.  Ask your room steward to empty out your minibar so you don’t rack up unexpected charges.

If you like to have a couple of sodas on hand in your cabin, just head to any bar and ask for some cans to take back to the room with you.  Keep them chilled in your newly emptied minibar to enjoy at your convenience.

There was a surprisingly wide variety of sodas available on-board Celebrity Cruises.  Choose from Coke, Caffeine-Free Coke, Coke Lime, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Caffeine Free Diet Coke, Diet Sprite (this was actually Sprite Zero on my cruise), Sprite, Barq’s Root Beer, Fanta Orange, Club Soda, Ginger Ale, and Tonic.

Unfortunately, no cruise line ever carries my personal favorite soda, Diet Dr. Pepper.  I’ll know I’ve made it to the big leagues when someone goes out of their way to stock my favorite soda!

Juices and Smoothies

Many juices are available in the dining room, buffet, and other locations on the ship.  These may include orange, grapefruit, pineapple, prune, apple, tomato, and V8.

Sometimes cranberry juice can be found, although that may be limited to Blu (the restaurant dedicated to Aqua Class passengers) and Luminae (the restaurant reserved for Suite passengers).

Aqua Class guests can also enjoy various smoothies in Blu, which may include:

  • Blu Berry Blast:  made with pomegranate juice and wild berry yogurt
  • Citrus Obsession:  made with fresh orange juice, banana, yogurt, and soy milk
  • Strawberry Swirl Bananas:  Made with fruit, soy milk, and non-fat plain yogurt
  • Mango Madness:  made with mango, peach puree, passion fruit, and yogurt.

Fancy juice blends and smoothies are also available in the Spa Café.  These premium juice blends and smoothies are covered in the Premium beverage package or in the Zero Proof nonalcoholic package.

Red Bull

Several flavors of Red Bull were available onboard the Celebrity Solstice.  These, too, are included if you upgrade to the Premium beverage package. (Red Bull is also included in the Zero Proof nonalcoholic package.)

Red Bull varieties offered onboard included original, sugar-free, cranberry, blueberry, and yellow.

Premium water and Vitamin Water

Premium water offerings, such as Evian and San Pellegrino, aren’t part of the Classic package, but are included if you upgrade to Celebrity’s Premium beverage package.

Likewise, Celebrity Cruises carries many varieties of Vitamin Water, but these are not included in the Classic package.

Vitamin Water flavors available on my sailing included Power-C Dragonfruit, XXX Acai Blueberry Pomegranate, Zero Rise Orange, and Zero squeezed lemonade.

(Premium water and Vitamin Water are also included in the nonalcoholic Zero Proof package.)

Celebrity Cruises drinks packages

There are many options for you to choose from with Celebrity cruise drink packages.  You’ll need to decide which one works best for you, based on your drink preferences.

It’s always cheaper to purchase your drink package in advance, so do a little homework before your trip. This way you can save money on your cruise, and also enjoy your vacation without worrying about the bar tab.

Note that generally Celebrity cruises drink packages must be purchased on a per-cruise basis – you can’t purchase them for only a few days of your cruise.  A service charge applies to all packages.  For up-to-date information on the Celebrity drink package cost, see the Celebrity Cruises site.

Packages can be used throughout the ship just by showing your SeaPass Card at all bars and lounges, the main dining room, the buffet, and specialty restaurants.

Enjoy your favorite beverage while soaking up the sun poolside, while listening to music in the lounge, along with your delicious meal, or to help you work up the nerve to participate in karaoke.

The Classic and Premium beverage packages include alcoholic beverages.  If you’re not a drinker, then you may want to consider the Celebrity Zero Proof package which contains all of your non-alcoholic favorites.

Note: The Celebrity Cruises drinks packages were revamped in December 2022, so I’ve updated the information here for you.

Classic Package

The Celebrity Classic beverage package is what you’ll get if you book the ‘always included’ or ‘all included’ fare on a Celebrity cruise.

The Celebrity Classic drinks package includes quite a lot.  You can enjoy juices (apple, cranberry, orange, grapefruit), bottled water, sodas and carbonated drinks, premium coffees and teas, beer, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks, and wines by the glass up to $10 a serving.  And, of course, all these great Celebrity Cruises mocktails!

With the Classic package, you’ll also receive a 15% discount off of wines by the bottle.

For beverages that cost more than $10 per serving, you would pay extra.

Premium Package

The Celebrity Cruise Premium drink package might be the better choice if you prefer the more expensive liqueurs, wines, and cocktails.    Check the Celebrity beverage list to find out whether your spirit of choice is included with the Classic or Premium package.

Celebrity’s Premium drinks package includes everything in the Classic package.  With the Premium package you can also enjoy premium bottled waters, the premium juices and smoothies (from the Spa Café), craft and artisan beers, spirits, cocktails, and wines by the glass up to $17 per serving.

With the Premium package, you’ll also get a 20% discount off of wines by the bottle.

Zero Proof Package (non-alcoholic)

Celebrity’s Zero Proof Package is their newly rolled out non alcoholic beverages package. Previously there were more options for non-alcoholic drinks packages, but those have been consolidated into this one package.

Specialty coffees and organic teas are included in Celebrity’s Zero Proof package along with Cola-Cola products, coconut water, Vitamin Water, and Red Bull energy drinks, and bottled iced teas.

Mix things up with Zero Proof Cocktails (aka Mocktails), frozen smoothies, and Aqua Spa fresh juices.

With the Zero Proof Package you can also enjoy premium bottled water (such as San Pellegrino, Evian, Panna, and Perrier).

Final Thoughts..

With so many tempting Celebrity Cruises mocktails and nonalcoholic drinks, you’re sure to find something delicious and refreshing to quench your thirst!  I think that all these options make Celebrity the best cruise line for non drinkers. Cheers!
